Sharfi Holdings, Inc. is looking for an Associate in-house lawyer to join our team in our Jensen Beach office. This person will work to support the daily operations of our in-house legal team. Hybrid opportunities will be considered for the right candidate, as well as relocation assistance.
The ideal candidate is a high-energy individual with excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, acute legal acumen, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on a wide range of issues for internal business clients and provide clear, concise, accurate and actionable legal advice toin support case preparation, corporate and real estate transactions, administrative functions, and client counseling
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, briefs, memorandums, and pleadings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal and/or compliance requirements
- Assist senior attorneysGeneral Counsel and Deputy General Counsel in preparing for meetings, hearings, trials, transactions, and negotiations by organizing case materials, conducting witness interviews, gathering key documents and items, and compiling evidence
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, legal documentation, and correspondence
- Play a strategic role in developing growth and other initiatives throughout the lifecycle of company projects
- Prepare for and attend various litigation or corporate events, including without limit depositions, court hearings, trials or administrative hearings, and/or local government meetings
Qualifications, : Preferred Education and Experience:
- Strategic thinking and ability to execute plans
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to effectively relay complex information in a concise format to executive and leadership audiences
- Practical business judgment and self-starter personality
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-faceted projects
- Capable of handling confidential client information in a professional and trustworthy manner.
- Proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, working proactively, being resourceful, and taking on additional responsibilities
- Ability to balance legal risks with business strategy, and is results-driven, has a strong sense of urgency and is able to drive results
- Law degree (J.D.) from ABA-accredited institution
- Eligible to practice law (either as in-house counsel or admission to State Bar)
- Real Estate and/or Construction experience is a plus.
- Must have experience with Florida State/Federal Court filings and possess the ability to calculate deadlines for calendaring
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Capable of handling confidential client information in a professional and trustworthy manner.
- Bi-Lingual a plus
- Notary License a plus
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check
